Women’s Law Project Western Pennsylvania
The Women’s Law Project is a state-based, nonprofit public interest legal center devoted to protecting and expanding the rights of women, girls and LGBTQ+ people in Pennsylvania and beyond. The organization works across a spectrum of inter-related issues that affect women’s legal status, health, and economic security, forging progress through strategic high-impact litigation, policy advocacy and community education. Ongoing work focuses on abortion and reproductive health, crisis pregnancy center industry, domestic and sexual violence, and education and workplace equality. WLP is also a founding member of the Pennsylvania Campaign for Women’s Health and partners with the Women’s Health Caucus of the Pennsylvania Legislature. In addition to legal advocacy, they offer an in-house Telephone Counseling Service, which provides information and referrals to thousands of women every year.
